Verdant Energy Ltd. is a private company which owns an interest in two biomass power generation facilities in Alberta.  These two facilities have a total capacity of 27MW (21MW net to Verdant).

Verdant also owns a waste wood recycling and trucking company located outside of Edmonton.

Verdant facilities at Dapp and Drayton Valley create wood ash as a by-product of electrical energy generation. Wood ash can be applied to farmland and other soil as a natural fertilizer. It is especially beneficial when applied to low PH soil.
